WEST CHESTER, OH (June 30, 2021) — Accumet Specialty Metals, supplier of steel, aluminum, specialty alloys, and hard-to-source specialty materials, has achieved AS9120B certification.

AS9120B is an international standard created by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and published by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

AS9120B certification includes ISO 9001:2015 certification and can be achieved by distributors of parts, materials, and assemblies in the aviation, space, and defense industries. The series of rigorous requirements of AS9120B go beyond those of AS9120A.

AS9120B emphasizes items such as product safety, change management, traceability, counterfeit parts prevention, control of records, and performance evaluation. All companies who achieve this level of certification must maintain the standards to remain certified through future audits.
